Photos: Simple Plan at Strand Festival – 19.08.2015

Simple Plan returned to Hungary to close the first day of Strand Festival. Their set consisted of pop-punk anthems of the past decade (‘I’m Just A Kid’, ‘I’d Do Anything’, ‘Shut Up’, ‘Welcome to My Life’) to tracks off their latest album (‘Jet Lag’, ‘Can’t Keep My Hands Off You’, ‘Summer Paradise’, ‘Astronaut’) and attempts to speak Hungarian rather impressively. A brand new song called ‘Boom‘ – which is being released at the time of writing this – also made the cut.

Personally, I’m all about rocking the shit out of the last song of the set, but SP’s way of finishing it with a ballad was simply ‘Perfect‘. Now, I have almost ticked seeing all my influential bands of my teenage years live off my list – only one remains.
