Musical Fragments: Mallory Knox, Lower Than Atlantis, The Ting Tings

SPOILER ALERT: Skip to the music if you watch Game of Thrones.

It’s only Tuesday, The Red Viper of Dorne is dead (sob), and summer break (for the luckier ones) is slowly creeping up on us. However, musicians have been busy as ever releasing new material.

The Ting Tings – Wrong Club

The Ting Tings have been so quiet these past years, we’ve almost forgotten about them but it is worth browsing through their social media once in a while. ‘Wrong Club’ sounds like this years follow up to Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’. It takes some time to get used to the new sound, but we wouldn’t mind hearing this song all summer long.

Mallory Knox – QOD II

Mallory Knox keep growing to be one of Britain’s best rock bands. ‘QOD II’ is their latest endeavour. With these lyrics and all-over heavy instrumental set-up, the song screams to be on a superhero/action movie soundtrack. Hollywood, make that happen!

Lower Than Atlantis – Here We Go

Lower Than Atlantis are set to release their new studio album in September. They were the least expected to jump on the self-titled bandwagon, but thankfully Here We Go gives a glimpse of what to expect. It has massive bridge and guitar riffs, people!
