2014 seems to be promising with lots of new album releases to help us get through the bumpy start of the New Year and incidental dark days –no pun intended.

Thanks to Rock Sound, we can now listen to ‘Dark Days’  by Canterbury prior to its official release on January 13th via Hassle Records.

The album is nothing less than amazing. The band have progressed a lot since the previous release. With their great vocals and sound, you get some rather cool verses and very catchy choruses. The anthemic ‘Expensive Irritation’ is a perfect opener with the potential of becoming the highlight of a live show. The energy and huge sing-alongs , that define Canterbury the best, flow through the entire record giving more and more memorable songs (Keep Moving, All My Life, Elephant) along with a few touching ballads (By The Trail) until it settles with the heart-warming ‘Going Nowhere’.

Since words cannot really give back the experience, go have a listen yourself!

For the making of ‘Dark Days’, the band set up a profile over at Pledge Music where you can fund their work for three more days until the official release. Go support Canterbury and get a bunch of extra stuff for your actions!
