The Killers And Dawes To Release Christmas Collaboration

The Killers may be preparing to take a break from the road soon after the release of their singles collection ‘Direct Hits‘, but their annual tradition for festival charity singles will be uninterrupted. Similarly to 2006’s ‘A Great Big Sled‘ (featuring Toni Halliday), 2008’s ‘Joseph, Better You Than Me‘ (featuring Elton John and Neil Tennant) and 2009’s ‘¡Happy Birthday Guadalupe!‘ (featuring Wild Light and The Bronx), this year’s original Christmas song will be a collaboration.

In an interview at Life Is Good Festival (embedded below), The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers confirmed that 2013’s special release will feature Dawes and is titled ‘Christmas In LA‘. The song will presumably pay lyrical attention to the Californian band‘s heritage, rather than Flowers and co’s Nevada roots.

Christmas In LA‘ is expected to be released to raise funds for the Product Red campaign.
