Plenty of new songs by new artists surface every day. It’s impossible to keep up with everything, but here are a few recent releases, as selected by Dora Udvardi.

Best Of Friends

This band might be unfamiliar but some of its members are well known from pop rock band Boys Like Girls (what happened to them, anyway?). They are called Best of Friends, hail from the US, and released their first music video for ‘Here We Go’ recently. People seem to dig it as the video has already gained nearly 100,000 views. If there has to be a description for the music they play, it’s Butch Walker meets Mumford and Sons.

Venice Valley

This electronic pop duo from Hungary are so new, they don’t even have anything out except this one song and its video called ‘Stay’. The lyrics need improving, but they seem promising and the summery sound fits the band’s name perfectly.

George Ezra

After a BBC Radio 1 play yesterday, ‘Budapest’ by George Ezra is a new favourite. This British guy knows how to write a tune you fall in love with immediately and will make you want to take a visit to Budapest. Guess we have the next Jake Bugg here… but that is a very sweeping statement.
