Artist Of The Week: The 1975

the 1975

The 1975 have got the balance perfectly right. They have the credibility to be accepted as ‘authentic’ by the indie community, yet sit perfectly on the Radio 1 A-List. They may have conformed to using colour (shock! horror!) in their latest music video, but they still retain the hipster chic of a Tumblr dashboard – without the pretentiousness, or Supernatural GIFs. They’re easily one of the UK’s most hyped bands and if you don’t know them already (where have you been!?), you’re sure to be hearing a lot more from them in the near future.
